Kevin Tyra has been a registered civil and family mediator pursuant to the Indiana Alternative Dispute Resolution Rules since completing the prescribed training in 1995. He has maintained his registration through continuing mediator training, and has served as an assistant trainer for new mediation trainees. Kevin contributed the chapter on “Administrative ADR” to the Indiana Alternative Dispute Resolution Manual (Lawyer’s Co-op, 1995). He was the co-author of “Mediation Confidentiality: Myth and Misnomer?” (Indiana Civil Litigation Review, 2006). Kevin also served as moderator on panel discussions regarding mediation ethics presented to the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana (2015) and the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum (2016).
Kevin has participated in scores of mediations, either as counsel for a party, or as the mediator.
Kevin also has experience both serving as an arbitrator, and in representing parties in arbitration.
